Resource Abstract:
1:48,000 scale Geologic Map of the NorthEast Quarter fo the Bullfrog 15-Minute Quadrangle, Nye County, Nevada, USGS I-2049. Detailed geologic mapping by Florian Maldonado and Brian P. Hausback in 1990. Previous work includes the Preliminary geologic map and sections of the Bullfrog quadrangle (Cornwall and Kleinhampl, 1961); and the Geologic map of the northwest quarter of the Bullfrog 15-minute quadrangle (Maldonado, 1985). Geologic Map of the Northeast Quarter of the Bullfrog 15' Quadrangle in Nye County, Nevada, with 4 cross sections and description of 55 units. The GIS work was in support of the U.S. Geological Survey COGEOMAP program. The Geodatabase specifies feature datasets and feature classes, together with feature attributes, subtypes and domains, suitable for a variety of geologic maps. In addition to basic geology (lithology, contacts and faults, etc.), the maps may include metamorphic overprints, cross sections, and explanatory legend-graphics such as correlation charts, used to supplement columnar legends.
