In October 2012, WSI (Watershed Sciences, Inc.) was contracted by the Puget Sound LiDARConsortium (PSLC) to collect Light
Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) data for the EntiatRiver site in central Washington. The area is adjacent to several other LiDAR
projectscollected in the greater Wenatchee area since 2008. Data were collected to aid inassessing the topographic and geophysical
properties of the study area to supportfault line and geologic instability within the area. The Entiat site covers 67,067
acres,collected June 23, 26, 28, 29 and 30, 2013.

Use limitation statement:
These data depict the elevations at the time of the survey and are only accurate for that time. Users should be aware that
temporal changes may have occurred since this data set was collected and some parts of this data may no longer represent actual
surface conditions. Users should not use this data for critical applications without a full awareness of its limitations.
Any conclusions drawn from analysis of this information are not the responsibility of NOAA or any of its partners. These data
are NOT to be used for navigational purposes.

Use Limitation
While every effort has been made to ensure that these data are accurate and reliable within the limits of the current state
of the art, NOAA cannot assume liability for any damages caused by any errors or omissions in the data, nor as a result of
the failure of the data to function on a particular system. NOAA makes no warranty, expressed or implied, nor does the fact
of distribution constitute such a warranty.

and Coordinate Transformations.
name Of Measure Horizontal Positional Accuracy Report
evaluation Method Description
Horizontal positional accuracy for LiDAR is dependent upon the quality ofthe GPS/INS solution, sensor calibration and ground
conditions at the time of data capture. The standard system results for horizontal accuracy are less than 1 meter. Not reported,
assumed as 1.0 m. Laser horizontal errors are a function of flight altitudeabove ground (i.e., +/- 1/3000th AGL flight altitude).
Relative errors for the position mustbe less than 1.5 cm horizontal and 2.0 cm vertical in order to be accepted.

AbsoluteExternalPositionalAccuracy
name Of Measure Vertical Positional Accuracy Report
evaluation Method Description
Upon the LiDAR data arrival to the office, WSI processing staff initiates a suite ofautomated and manual techniques to process
the data into the requested deliverables.Processing tasks include GPS control computations, smoothed best estimate trajectory(SBET)
calculations, kinematic corrections, calculation of laser point position, calibration for optimal relative and absolute accuracy,
and classification ofground and non-ground points.
AbsoluteExternalPositionalAccuracy
name Of Measure Vertical Positional Accuracy
measure Description
Vertical absolute accuracy was primarily assessedfrom RTK ground check point (GCP) data collected on open, bare earth surfaces
with levelslope (<20 degrees). Fundamental Vertical Accuracy (FVA) reporting is designed to meet guidelinespresented in the
FGDC National Standard for Spatial Data Accuracy3. FVA compares known RTKground survey check points to the triangulated ground
surface generated by the LiDAR points.FVA is a measure of the accuracy of LiDAR point data in open areas where the LiDAR system
hasa ?very high probability? of measuring the ground surface and is evaluated at the 95%confidence interval (1.96 sigma) calculated
0.152 ft (4.6 cm).
Quantitative Result
result value 0.046

Completeness Commission
evaluation Method Description
LiDAR data has been collected and processed for all areas within the project study area.
ConceptualConsistency
measure Description
The accuracy of the LiDAR data collection can be described in terms of absolute accuracy (the consistency ofthe data with
external data sources) and relative accuracy (the consistency of the dataset with itself). SeeAppendix A in the lidar report
for further information on sources of error and operational measures used toimprove relative accuracy.
