This resource contains a state geologic map with the uppermost bedrock geology and major alluvial deposits located within
the State of Missouri. The map data are provided by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MoDNR), Division of Geology
and Land Survey (DGLS), Geological Survey Program (GSP), as part of the United States Geoscience Information Network (USGIN).
The data are available as a geodatabase and shapefiles for download. The layer, Geologic Unit View, is a compilation dataset
containing geologic units covering the State of Missouri at a scale of 1:24,000. The geodatabase fields include geologic name,
description, lithology, and geologic history. This service is compliant with Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards and
the data within are compatible with GeoSciML portrayal view for geoscience data. This resource was provided by the Missouri
Department of Natural Resources and made available for distribution in the National Geothermal Data System.
